too busy

my eyes are so tired i can’t focus on anything closer than my elbows! serious! the idea of creating a curriculum for high school for lauren is a huge task for me. i want so much for her! and I can see so many beautiful possibilities.
we are needing to replace the temporary tarp-roofed structures for two reasons (we lost one in a matter of minutes in the last wind storm and second most are being held up by the wili wili trees that are now dying from some recently introduced wasp to the island). we are also confronting the loss of acres and acres of livestock fencing of wili wiils. we have an unusual number of things going on. plus, as i get deeper into nvc practice i notice how much of my life is dependent on my “shoulds” and my expectation of the “shoulds” of others.
i came to hawaii and called it a sabbatical when i stepped away from my life in taos. i was most interested in flexibility at that time. i wanted to try living without the weight of all the obligations i seemed to accumulate wherever i went. well they found me here! luckily scott and lauren and i are at a very stable place right now.
